Introducing Goodfarm: A Farm to Tabletop Game

Goodfarm artwork by Rod Mendez: a greenhouse, a wheat field, goats and an orchard

We’re excited to introduce Goodfarm: A Farm to Tabletop Game, a cozy deckbuilding game about growing your farm, earning revenue from crops and livestock, and restoring the soil health to maximize returns and save the planet.

In Goodfarm, you’ll plant crops, raise livestock, hire workers and pick up new cards to grow your farm. But be careful: getting the biggest harvest isn’t always what’s best for your land. Work your soil too hard and you’ll damage it, while smarter, more sustainable choices can help restore it. Along the way, you’ll expand your farm, improve your deck, compete for awards at the local fair, and try to build the best farm without wearing out the land beneath it.

A new name

You may have heard us talk about this game before under a different name: Grassfed. As the game has continued to develop, we felt that Goodfarm better captured the personality and world we’ve been building. The name has changed, but the game is still the one we’ve been working on and refining, now with a new logo and a whole lot of finished artwork.

Art by Rod Mendez

Artist Rod Mendez has completed all of the artwork for Goodfarm. From the beginning, one of our biggest goals was to give the game a distinctive, handcrafted visual identity, and seeing the whole game come together through Rod’s illustrations has been incredibly exciting. Every piece of final artwork in Goodfarm was created by a human artist.

Over the coming weeks we’ll share more of Rod’s artwork, take a closer look at how the game plays, and reveal more of what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. Our Gamefound page now shows the latest version of the game, with the new box, logo and finished artwork.
